VOICE PROJECT
In partnership with Santa Fe Poet Laureate Tommy Archuleta and graciously hosted by The Friendship Club, we organize trauma-informed creative writing workshops for our unhoused neighbors here in Santa Fe.
Participants from the Life Link, St. Elizabeth’s Shelters & Agape House meet weekly to write, make art and share stories. Volunteers from the Santa Fe Literary community provide group and one-on-one feedback and encouragement. Participants receive free backpacks, notebooks & vital supplies.
Currently funded by a grant from the Academy of American Poets, we hope to continue the Voice Project’s work with the unhoused throughout 2026.
“There is plenty of space, there is room for more, which is like an invitation. Thank you for making everyone welcome – over and over each week. We’re anxious for more.”
